Welcome to the Dennis axe restoration collection

We are here to restore axes, hatchets, and other sharp tools to their former glory. What might be confused as a hunk of rusty metal and grayed out wood in the corner of your garage could actually be your next family heirloom. Fueled by the desire to connect with our past loved ones, we want to help you connect to your ancestors, be it through your grandfather’s workshop tools, your uncle’s splitting axe, or the hatchet that you found at the flea market that you’d like to restore and pass down one day.

axe restoration

Any axe that you hold dear is a special axe. Whether you plan to use an axe or hang it above your mantle, we want to make it that much more special for you. Our restorations are a unique mix of form and function.

git yer bits sharpened

Believe it or not, the most dangerous axe is a dull axe. Sharpening is the final step in our restoration process before sending anything out to a customer. If all you need is a resharpening, we can handle that.

ephemeral products

We can’t get enough of having small goodies accompany an order, so we’d like to make sure you experience it, too. It’s almost like receiving a handwritten letter in the mail, but this time it’s a t-shirt and a coffee mug.

To quote a great man:

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

Luke Fehribach is the proprietor of the Dennis Axe Restoration Collection. He started restoring axes in 2019 to connect with his past relatives who enjoyed the outdoors and the slow way of life. Splitting wood was an everyday chore to keep the wood stove hot and their house warm.

Luke has a passion for creating. Working with his hands to restore these axes is only one of his many pursuits. He is also a graphic designer, specializing in branding and illustration. Right now, he focuses his design efforts on the beverage industry, specifically breweries and distilleries, but he branches out to other areas such as outdoor brands and everything you see here on this site. Luke created all the branding and graphic-emblazoned ephemera for the Dennis Axe brand.
